Dentures in Turkey: Removable, Snap-On or Fixed All-on-4? Costs and Which Fits You (2026)
In Fethiye a removable acrylic denture costs around 500 to 700 EUR per arch, a two-implant snap-on overdenture around 2,000 to 2,800 EUR and a fixed All-on-4 arch from 3,500 EUR, against £600 to 1,500, £3,500 to 7,000 and far more in the UK. A denture needs one trip of 3 to 5 days; both implant options need two trips 3 to 6 months apart. NHS Band 3 (£332.10) covers a basic denture but not implants.
If you have lost most or all of your teeth you have three realistic options: a removable acrylic denture from around 500 to 700 EUR per arch in Fethiye, a snap-on overdenture held by two implants from around 2,000 to 2,800 EUR per arch, or a fixed All-on-4 bridge from 3,500 EUR per arch. In the UK the same three typically cost £600 to 1,500, £3,500 to 7,000 and several times that for a fixed bridge. Which fits you depends less on budget than on your jawbone, your hands and how much a loose lower denture bothers you.
The three options in plain terms
1. Full removable acrylic denture
The traditional false teeth: a pink acrylic base carrying a full arch, held by suction on the palate in the upper jaw and only by the ridge, lips and tongue in the lower. No surgery, no implants, made and fitted in 3 to 5 days. Its weakness is the lower jaw: with no palate to grip, a lower denture lifts when you chew and talk, and the bone under it keeps shrinking, so it needs relining every year or two and replacing after 5 to 7 years.
2. Implant-retained overdenture, the snap-on denture
Still removable, but it clicks onto two implants through small locator attachments. It comes out at night for cleaning and no longer moves when you bite into an apple. Two implants at the front of the lower jaw are widely regarded as the minimum standard for a lower denture; in the upper jaw four are usually advised because the bone is softer. A denture that already fits well can often be converted rather than remade.
3. Fixed All-on-4 bridge
Four implants per arch, the back two tilted to avoid the sinus and the nerve, carrying a full bridge that only a dentist removes. It behaves most like natural teeth: no palate cover, close to full chewing force, nothing to take out. You leave the same week with a fixed temporary bridge and return for the final bridge after 3 to 6 months. Our All-on-4 vs dentures comparison covers the day-to-day differences.

Who each option is for, and who it is not for
Removable denture
For you if the budget is tight, you want one short trip, surgery is ruled out, or you only need the upper jaw, where suction works well. Not for you if a lower denture has already cost you apples and steak, if you gag easily, or if your lower ridge is already flat: a new denture on a flat ridge moves like the old one.
Snap-on overdenture
For you if your lower denture moves, if you want stability without paying for a fixed bridge, or if the bone is too thin for four implants without grafting but has room for two short ones at the front. Not for you if your hands are unsteady or arthritic, since clicking the denture in and out daily needs some dexterity, or if the whole point is never taking your teeth out again.
Fixed All-on-4
For you if you want teeth that stay in, have adequate bone at the front and will keep up with cleaning under the bridge. Not for you if two trips are impossible, the budget is below 3,500 EUR per arch, or gum disease around remaining teeth is untreated.
Two caveats apply to both implant options. Controlled diabetes is not a barrier; uncontrolled diabetes is, because healing around the implant is impaired. Heavy smoking measurably reduces implant success and limits our implant guarantee, and we say so before you book. Our implants vs dentures page lists the medical criteria.

Both jaws on All-on-4 start from 7,000 EUR; a complete full mouth restoration runs from 5,000 to 15,000 EUR depending on implant count and bridge material. How it works with us in Fethiye
Send a panoramic X-ray (an OPG, any dentist takes one in minutes) by WhatsApp, or clear photos of your mouth and current denture. Dr. Mustafa Besli, 15+ years in implantology, assesses your bone and which of the three options is realistic. You receive a written plan and quote through our free consultation before you book, plus the guarantee document in English.
Removable denture: one trip of 3 to 5 days: impressions, try-in, delivery, adjustments.
Snap-on overdenture: trip one, 2 to 3 days: implants placed and a conventional denture fitted or yours adapted, so you fly home with teeth. Trip two after 3 to 6 months, 2 to 3 days: locators fitted, denture converted.
All-on-4: trip one, 5 to 7 days: implants placed and a fixed temporary bridge fitted the same week. Trip two after 3 to 6 months, typically 5 to 7 days: final bridge. Whether you qualify for immediate loading is covered in our same-day implants guide.
Nobody leaves without teeth at any stage. Transfers from Dalaman airport, about 50 minutes away, are included; direct flights run from Stansted, Manchester and Dublin in season, and we arrange hotels on request.
What the NHS, Irish tax relief and insurance pay
NHS England. A basic acrylic denture, full or partial, is a Band 3 treatment at £332.10 from April 2026, the cheapest route if you can get an NHS appointment. Pensioner status alone is no exemption: treatment is free if you receive the Guarantee Credit part of Pension Credit or qualify under the NHS Low Income Scheme. The NHS does not provide implants or implant-retained dentures except in rare clinical cases, for example after cancer surgery.
Ireland. Med 2 tax relief at 20% applies to non-routine dental treatment, including abroad: crowns and bridgework qualify, so a fixed implant bridge usually does; a standard denture counts as routine and does not. Keep the clinic's Med 2 form and check with your accountant.
Private cover. UK dental plans rarely cover implants and usually cap dentures at a few hundred pounds. Read the policy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep my existing denture and just add implants?
Often yes for the lower jaw, if it fits well and the acrylic is thick enough to house the locator caps. If it is old, thin or worn, a new overdenture costs little more and fits better. We decide from your X-ray and photos.
I have worn dentures for 20 years. Is there enough bone left for implants?
Usually yes for two implants at the front of the lower jaw, the last area to shrink. All-on-4 needs more bone and is decided from the X-ray. If neither is possible without grafting we say so in the written plan, not after you arrive.
Which lasts longest?
The implants, which we guarantee for life. The wearing parts are the acrylic denture (5 to 7 years, 7 to 10 on implants), the locator inserts (6 to 12 months, a five-minute change) and the bridge (typically 10 to 15 years).
Is All-on-4 in Turkey cheaper than a snap-on denture in the UK?
Usually. A fixed All-on-4 arch from 3,500 EUR in Fethiye sits below the £3,500 to 7,000 typically quoted in the UK for a two-implant overdenture, and well below four implants placed privately at home.
