How Much Do Veneers Cost in the UK in 2026, and in Turkey? Porcelain vs Composite
Privately in the UK, porcelain or E-max veneers typically cost £600 to 1,200 per tooth and composite £200 to 500; the NHS does not provide cosmetic veneers and insurance usually excludes them. At our clinic E-max veneers are 280 to 400 EUR per tooth, 8 to 10 veneers 2,250 to 4,000 EUR and a set of 20 typically 4,500 to 8,000 EUR. Composite is cheaper on day one but is usually remade every 5 to 7 years, so over 15 years the gap narrows. With flights and a hotel the trip pays for itself from about two to three veneers; treatment is one trip of 5 to 7 days with a 5-year written guarantee.
Veneers cost typically £600 to 1,200 per tooth for porcelain or E-max and £200 to 500 per tooth for composite at a private UK practice in 2026, so a typical case of 8 porcelain veneers runs to roughly £4,800 to 9,600. At our clinic in Fethiye, E-max veneers are 280 to 400 EUR per tooth (about £240 to 345), and 8 to 10 veneers usually come to 2,250 to 4,000 EUR. For one or two veneers a flight rarely makes sense. For six or more, the difference pays for the trip several times over. This guide sets out what UK practices actually charge, what insurance does and does not pay, what veneers cost over 15 years once replacements are counted, and how the Turkey numbers work out with flights and a hotel included.
Porcelain, E-max or composite: what you are paying for
The word "veneer" covers two quite different treatments, and most of the price difference between quotes comes from which one is being offered.
Porcelain and E-max veneers are thin ceramic shells made in a laboratory and bonded to the front of the tooth. E-max (lithium disilicate) is the ceramic most practices now use because it is strong for its thickness and translucent like enamel. A thin layer of enamel, usually 0.3 to 0.7 mm, is removed so the veneer sits flush. That step is not reversible: once a tooth has been prepared for porcelain, it will need a veneer for life.
Composite veneers are tooth-coloured resin sculpted directly onto the tooth in the chair, often in one visit and with little or no enamel removed. They cost less and can be repaired or reversed, but they stain, chip at the edges and lose their polish faster.

Neither type is "the cheap one" or "the good one". Composite is the right answer for a young patient, a single chipped edge, or someone who wants to keep every option open. Porcelain is the right answer when the colour or shape change is larger and you want it to last. The porcelain vs composite comparison and our composite bonding guide go into the choice in detail; if one of the teeth is heavily filled or root treated, a crown may be the better restoration, as explained in crown vs veneer.

The NHS position is simple: veneers to improve appearance are private treatment. A dentist can provide a veneer under Band 3 only when there is a clinical reason, for example to restore a front tooth damaged by trauma, and in practice the NHS more often uses a composite repair or a crown in those cases. Dental insurance and capitation plans such as monthly practice plans usually exclude cosmetic work, or cap it at a small annual sum; read the exclusions before assuming any cover. In other words, for almost everyone asking "how much do veneers cost", the UK figure is the full private price, paid out of pocket.
Full set of veneers cost in the UK: 6, 8, 10 and 20 teeth
Few people need veneers on every tooth. Most cases are the six to ten teeth that show when you smile; a full set of 20 covers upper and lower arches.

Many enquiries for "a full set of 20" end, after an honest assessment, as 8 or 10 upper veneers plus whitening of the lower teeth, which look natural together and cost far less. What a full upper and lower case involves, including when some teeth need crowns rather than veneers, is covered in our full set veneers guide.
Veneers over 15 years: the replacement cost nobody quotes
A veneer quote is a price for the first set. Over 15 years the real cost depends on how often the set has to be remade. Using typical UK private prices for 8 teeth, porcelain at £850 per tooth and composite at £350:
Over 15 years, 8 teeth
Porcelain / E-max
Composite
First set
£6,800
£2,800
Typical replacements in 15 years
Often none; budget for one or two individual veneers
One or two full remakes (5 to 7 year lifespan)
Typical 15-year total
About £6,800 to 8,500
About £5,600 to 8,400, plus polishing and edge repairs
Composite is cheaper on day one, and often not much cheaper by year fifteen. That does not make it the wrong choice; it means the decision should be made on what suits your teeth and age, not on the first invoice. For porcelain, the other long-term point is commitment: prepared teeth need veneers for life, so the cost of eventually replacing them, at home or abroad, belongs in the calculation from the start.
Veneers in Turkey: worked trip examples with flights included
The table uses a typical UK private price of £850 per porcelain veneer, our E-max price at about 340 EUR per tooth (roughly £295), and £600 for a return flight to Dalaman plus six hotel nights, £650 with seven nights for a full set. Your own numbers will differ; the pattern will not.

The break-even sits at about two veneers against typical private prices, three against the cheapest practices outside London. Travel is a fixed cost, so it matters less with every extra tooth. Prices per brand and material in Turkey are listed in our laminate veneers cost guide, and the E-max vs zirconia guide explains when zirconia is used instead.
When it is not worth travelling
One or two teeth. A single chipped or discoloured front tooth is usually best treated locally, often with composite.
You only want whiter teeth. If the teeth are straight and healthy, whitening or bonding on one or two edges gets you there without removing enamel. We will tell you so when we see the photographs.
Untreated gum disease or active decay. That comes first, wherever you are treated, and it may change the plan.
Heavy grinding and no night guard. Ceramic on a grinder without protection fails early, and the guarantee does not cover it.
Under about 21. Gums and bite are still settling. Composite or whitening first is usually wiser.
You cannot take five to seven days. Compressing veneers into two or three days removes the try-in, which is where a natural result is decided.
The cases that went wrong and gave "Turkey teeth" its reputation were mostly healthy teeth ground down for crowns in a rushed trip. What a well-planned case looks like is in Turkey teeth: what you actually get.
How long veneers last, and what our guarantee covers
A well-made E-max veneer typically lasts 10 to 15 years and often longer; composite veneers typically 5 to 7 years. Our written guarantee on laminate and E-max veneers is 5 years: debonding, fracture or a material defect is remade at no charge. It does not cover trauma, grinding without the night guard we recommend, decay at the margin from neglected hygiene, work altered by another dentist, or the cost of flights. Full terms are in our guarantee guide.
How it works with us in Fethiye
Send clear photographs of your smile and, if you have one, a recent X-ray through the consultation form. Dr. Mustafa Besli, who has practised aesthetic dentistry and implantology for over 15 years, reviews them, and you receive a written plan before you book anything: how many teeth, veneer, crown or nothing for each one and why, the material, the shade range and the price per tooth. Treatment is one trip of 5 to 7 days: examination and smile design on day one, preparation and temporaries next, a try-in of the unglazed veneers so shape and shade can still change, then final bonding and a bite check. Flights from UK airports land at Dalaman, about 50 minutes from the clinic. Airport transfers are included, a hotel is arranged on request, and the guarantee document is issued in English. If the plan at the examination turns out to be fewer veneers than you expected, the price drops accordingly.
